Cheese, Cheese and Bubbles

I’ll go ahead and warn you now; Matthew lost the camera cord to upload my pictures on the computer. So no new pictures for awhile = (. It’s a shame too because Matthew is a ham these days. My sister always tells me I need to put him in modeling haha. But he really does love the camera. As soon and I turn the camera on and he hears it beep he has this big grin on his face and he starts saying CHEESE!! The boy loves for his picture to be taken. I tired to get a picture of him eating some cheese but he loves cheese almost as much as he loves getting his picture made! He crammed the whole thing in his mouth and then asked for more before he was done chewing! He reminds me of me when I was a kid. I loved some cheese. Still do! All that cheese though made him need a bath. I ran the water and as usual he tried to climb in the tub himself, clothes and all! The only part of bath time he hates is getting his hair washed. That and now bubbles! I took his little cup thinking he would like seeing the bubbles it makes when you turn it upside down under water. WRONG! He freak out at the bubbles. Not sure why but he just does not like them. To add insult to injury he had to toot in the tub and that makes bubbles too! Lets just say that bath time that night was not one of his favorites.

He has always loved the camera

We made it a week!

Matthew survived his first week of daycare and I survived my first week back to work full time...barley. I'll admit it, its a bigger adjustment than I thought it would be but it does help that I know Matthew is having a blast in daycare. He has gotten all happy notes and he even takes naps there! They are going to do a little valentines party for them on Friday. Now if only work could be that fun. Matthew did really well sleeping at night the first week. We didn't hear a peep out of him all night. But the past 3 nights he has been waking up screaming. I'm not sure if he is having a nightmare or getting a molar or what but I hope it stops soon. Crying at 4am I can deal with. Ear piercing screams...not so much. I'm just ready for him to be able to tell me what is wrong. I guess though its like that song and it won't be like this for long. We already made one week we can do it for another =)

He is a happy boy though!

Happy 2011!

I didn't realize how long it has been since I was on here. Time really does fly when you get older. But its a good thing. I have a boring life with not much to talk about and for that I am so grateful. Matthew turned one on December 17th. We had a winter ONEderland party for him. And here in bipolar, NC there was actually some snow and sleet for his party! We had a pretty decent snow storm the day after Christmas and Matthew LOVED the snow. We took him sledding and he had a blast. He also like to eat the snow. The beginning of January I signed him up for daycare. We just started yesterday because I am working full time now. He did really well. I know he will love being able to play with all the kids and go outside a few times a day. When I went to pick him up, he was so excited to see me that he knocked over a little girl on his way to get to me. I think this will be an exciting new adventure for the both of us!

This kid loves to be outside! Here he is sliding down the slide on his belly...my brave baby!

PS

For those that like to read blogs here is one I came across about a woman who lost her child in a accident when he pulled a dresser on top of him. It's very sad but she is a great writer and it is a good reminder to not take anything for granted
